Barre et dôme des Ecrins FR (See english below) Fin du jour 1 de notre tentative d’ascension de la barre des Ecrins (4100m). Après quelques bonnes heures de marche le matin depuis le Pre de Madame Carle puis de progression sur le glacier blanc l'après midi, un peu de repos pour une courte nuit au refuge des Ecrins. Soirée finale de ligue des champions PSG - Bayern loin de toute TV, Radio, connexion WiFi ou GSM. Il faudra faire sans et attendre le lendemain pour le résultat. Ma finale à moi, ce sera beau coucher de soleil sur la barre avec des nuages qui restent collés à la face sud pour une explosion de couleurs orangées. Obligé de quitter le repas pour profiiter du moment, et rentabiliser tout ce materiel que je me trimballe depuis le départ (Boitier + 24-70 f/4 + 70-200 f/2.8 + trepied + NiSi filtres). Un magnifique spectacle dont j’aurai profiter jusqu’au dernier moment, avant de rejoindre les dortoirs, le réveil est à 3h30 pour le lendemain, jour de sommet, en essayant de ne pas penser au match en cours… EN End of the first day heading to la Barre des écrins summit (4100m) After hiking a few hours on the morning from le Pre de Madame Carle, we reached the Glacier Blanc and made our way during the afternoon until the Refuge des Ecrins, to get some rest for a very short night. Tonight is special, as this is the Champion's league final between PSG - Bayern, far from any radio, TV, WiFi hotspot or mobile signal. I will have to deal with and wait until the next day, lower in the valley, to get the result. My private final will be an amazing sunset over the Barre des Ecrins, with some colorful clouds stuck over the south face. I had to left dinner to enjoy this moment, and finally use most of the photo gears I had in my backpack (Camera + 24-70 f/4 + 70-200 f/2.8 + tripod + NiSi filters). I live the moment until the very last light, before a short rest for the night, waking up at 3.30am heading to the summit, avoiding to think about the match in progress... Fin de la première journée lors de notre tentative d'ascension de la barre des écrins (4100m), depuis le refuge des Ecrins. Les derniers nuages de la journées penetrent dans la vallée du glacier blanc, enflammant les crêtes des sommets.

Sunrise at Moraine Lake

This is a place I ever wanted to go. When you think about Canada or rockies, this is what we all have in mind: Turquoise lake, pine, snowy summit, rocks, ice... Just google "Canada" and a picture of Moraine Lake should appears in the very first results. This shot has been taken at the first sunrise after the road reopened. 2 days before leaving, finally get my sunset over Manhattan from Brooklyn. Good Morning Africa

During a night in a camp site located very close to Manyara Lake National Park in Tanzania, an amazing point of view over the park and the rift Valley a few minutes before the sunrise, with amazing pastel tones in the sky. Kilimanjaro slopes

Last camp site on Kilimanjaro slopes at 3700m. The day before, we were at Uhuru peak, highest summit of Mt. Golden rays

Sunrise thought the forest down the Villarrica, one of Chile's most active volcanoes, a few minutes after starting to climb. Snowboard fixed to my backpack, ready for a 5 hours climb till the crater and his smokes. After saying a few minutes at the summit (due to toxical smokes), time to climb down in snowboard, one of the coolest memories in my life.
